The sun had barely begun to rise, painting the sky in soft pinks and gold, when Cú Chulainn first heard the whispers of Emer. Her name, like a secret carried on the wind, danced its way through the halls of Emain Macha, reaching him as he trained in the courtyard. They spoke of her beauty—a radiance like no other, eyes that shone like the deepest lakes, and hair that flowed in waves the color of sunset. But it wasn’t only her beauty that caught his attention; they spoke of her wit, her sharp tongue, and her steadfast heart.

"She has the six gifts of womanhood," they said. "Beauty, voice, wisdom, needlework, chastity, and kindness." Cú Chulainn, the young hero of Ulster, felt something stir inside him at those words. He had faced beasts, enemies, and the terrors of the Otherworld, but never had he faced something quite like this.

He knew he had to meet her.
