Prologue: The Whisper of Prophecy
In the age when the misty hills of Éire were inhabited by the Tuatha Dé Danann, a prophecy whispered through the sacred groves and over the ancient stones: "A king will rise, marked by silver, to lead his people through shadow and light." This king, destined to become Nuada Airgetlám, would journey through pain, loss, and miraculous healing to fulfill his fate.
The prophecy had been spoken of for generations, carried on the winds and murmured by the streams. Elders recited it to wide-eyed children, and druids contemplated its meaning in their sacred circles. It foretold of a time when the Tuatha Dé Danann would face great trials, and a leader of unparalleled resilience and wisdom would emerge. This leader would not only guide them through the darkness but also bring about a new era of prosperity and unity.
Nuada, even as a child, felt the weight of this prophecy. He was trained in the arts of war and governance, always under the watchful eyes of his mentors. His parents, members of the royal lineage, instilled in him the values of courage, honor, and compassion. They knew he was destined for greatness, and they prepared him for the challenges that lay ahead.
