Prologue
In the misty green hills of ancient Ireland, where magic ran through the land like rivers of enchantment, there lived a powerful king named Lir. His kingdom was vast, his people adored him, and the realm thrived under his benevolent rule. But nothing was more precious to Lir than his four children: Fionnuala, Aodh, Fiachra, and Conn. Their laughter filled the halls of their grand castle, and their joy was the heartbeat of the land.
Lir's wife, Aobh, was a queen of unmatched beauty and grace, whose love for her children knew no bounds. She was the sun around which their family revolved. But fate, with its cruel hand, took Aobh from this world, leaving Lir and his children in a shroud of grief. The once lively halls of the castle became hushed and somber, echoing with the absence of her laughter.
In his grief, Lir sought solace and a mother for his children. His heart, yearning for the comfort of familiarity, chose Aobh's sister, Aoife, as his new queen. But Aoife, unlike her sister, was consumed by jealousy and dark thoughts. Her beauty was striking, but her heart was shadowed by a deep and festering envy that would soon lead to a series of tragic events.
